Job Title: Senior WAN Inventory & Connectivity Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior WAN Inventory & Connectivity Manager to lead WAN inventory management, daily network operations, vendor coordination, and strategic network optimization.

The ideal candidate will ensure accurate WAN service tracking, seamless execution of MACs (Moves/Adds/Changes), and deliver actionable insights through reporting and analysis. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Network Inventory Management

• Maintain a centralized and continuously updated WAN inventory database (circuits, bandwidth, locations, service details)
• Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and system synchronization
• Ensure inventory data is always accessible and exportable for stakeholders
• Identify underutilized or redundant circuits and recommend cost optimization strategies

Daily WAN Operations (MACs)

• Manage bandwidth changes, service provisioning, modifications, and circuit decommissioning
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure minimal disruption during changes

Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on:
• Network performance and health
• Bandwidth utilization
• Vendor performance and SLA compliance
• Issue tracking and resolution
• Provide insights and recommendations for performance improvement and cost reduction

Strategic Planning & Technology Evaluation

• Conduct quarterly WAN performance and optimization assessments
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as SD-WAN, 5G, and Starlink
• Develop and maintain a long-term network strategy aligned with business goals
• Validate ISP billing and eliminate overcharges or discrepancies

Vendor Coordination & SLA Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for WAN service providers
• Monitor SLA adherence and manage vendor performance
• Ensure timely resolution of vendor-related issues
• Collaborate on pricing optimization and bandwidth planning

Qualifications & Skills

Experience

• Proven experience in WAN infrastructure management and network operations
• Hands-on exposure to bandwidth optimization, vendor management, and MAC execution

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of WAN technologies and enterprise network infrastructure
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and database tools

Leadership & Project Management

• Ability to manage daily operations while maintaining strategic oversight
• Strong multitasking skills across different reporting cycles

Communication

• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
• Ability to present technical insights and recommendations clearly

Deliverables Ownership

• Daily MAC logs and issue tracking
• Weekly activity reports and vendor coordination updates

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
